Not all evangelistic efforts are conducted in the streets or in market places. However, the early church found their efforts in streets and the market places successful in reaching those who needed Christ. They took the gospel with them wherever they went. Should believers today not do the same? Each person's circle of influence is his or her mission field. It includes family members, neighbors, co-workers, teachers, doctors, and so forth. These are people who are already in their circle, and with whom believers may confidently share their testimony while living the Christian life in full view.
Most people don't share their faith because of intimidation, fear, pride, apathy, complacency, doubt, lack of training, or a host of other reasons. Regardless of the reason, the call to share our faith remains. God expects all Christ Followers to share their testimony. Matthew 9:38 can help people overcome obstacles.
